Rank your AI use cases the way the assessment does
A rubric based on what the assessment looks at. Enter up to six candidates, score each on five axes, and get a ranked list with a build, pilot, wait or no label. The assessment adds what this cannot: testing against your real data, security constraints, and effort estimates.
The five axes
- Value
- Who uses it weekly, and what work does it remove?
1 A nice-to-have
2 Saves real time for a few people
3 Removes a bottleneck for many
- Data readiness
- Does the input exist, and is it allowed to leave its system?
1 Not collected, or cannot leave
2 Exists but scattered or restricted
3 Available and permitted
- Verifiability
- Can you write down what a correct answer looks like?
1 No, it is a matter of taste
2 Partly, with human review
3 Yes, for fifty real cases
- Blast radius
- What happens when it is wrong?
1 Irreversible or customer-facing harm
2 Costly but recoverable
3 Caught by a human before it matters
- Ownership
- Is there one person who would use the result and give feedback?
1 Nobody yet
2 A team, no named person
3 A named person, every week
The worksheet
Score each use case from 1 to 3 on every axis. Nothing you enter leaves your browser; the state lives in the page address so you can share or bookmark it.
Ranked
- Fill in at least one row and press Rank. Without JavaScript, score on paper using the labels below.
How to read the result
- no
- No: the answer cannot be verified, or a wrong answer cannot be undone.
- wait
- Wait: the data is not ready, or nobody owns the result yet.
- pilot
- Pilot: verifiable and owned; typically 4–8 weeks to production.
- build
- Build first: high value, verifiable, owned, and the data is ready.
A rule of thumb: verifiability 1, or blast radius 1 without a human in the loop, is a no. Data readiness 1 or ownership 1 is a wait. Otherwise rows rank by value × verifiability, and the top row with data at 3 is the one to build first.
